The series is about the dynamics of relationships. The title was derived from the idea of explaining the theory of good relationships. We call it a theory since it is not a cookie-cut formula that will work for all people. The theories are principles that should be practiced appropriately. Thus, the principles on only on paper. That is to say that they are in idea form and waiting to be used.
The subtitle, Blueprints for Building Godly Bonds, is a more precise explanation of the title. The word “bond” is a synonym for “relationship.” And so the subtitle implies that these are lessons on getting an idea or plan for making and forming relationships that are pleasing to God.
Our aim is to lay some foundational ideas about the various kinds of relationship dynamics and provide principles for godly living within these appropriate relationship dynamics. To do so, we want to expose the hearers to the nature and life of Christ which therefore, will cause them to trust in the saving work of Christ which not only saves us from our wrong doings, but also empowers us to live according to these principles.
